What to do if my K1/K5 grinder runs out of battery or drains quickly after 2-3 uses?Updated 9 months ago
Hi KK Family,
If you find that the K1/K5 grinder runs out of power after 2-3 uses and cannot be used, it indicates that the internal battery may be experiencing an overcurrent issue.
The overcurrent situation typically arises from overloading the grinder with herbs, forcing the motor to stall when the button is pressed continuously. This can lead to battery overcurrent, affecting battery life and capacity. To address this issue, we recommend the following steps:
1. Stop grinding and recharge the grinder fully.
2. Reduce the amount of herbs for each grinding session and try to avoid repeated stalling. Large pieces of herbs can easily cause blockages and stalling. You can break large pieces into smaller ones before grinding to improve efficiency.
How to extend battery life/extend usage time per charge?
1. Charge promptly when the battery is low. Do not force grinding.
When the K5 battery is below 20% (i.e., the battery indicator shows only one bar) or the K1 battery is low (i.e., the top indicator light is flashing), please charge promptly. Avoid grinding when the battery is low, as this can cause overcurrent and damage the battery life.
2. Do not hold down the button continuously when there is a jam.
Loading large pieces of herbs or overloading the grinder can cause the motor to jam and lead to overcurrent, affecting battery life. We recommend breaking large pieces of herbs into smaller pieces or reducing the amount of herbs per grind to reduce motor jamming and prevent overcurrent.
