What to do if the latch on your grinder does not lock?Updated 9 months ago
Hi KK Family,
If you find that the latch on your K1/K5 grinder cannot be locked, please follow these troubleshooting steps:
1. Check if the Grinding Chamber is Overfilled
Check if you have overfilled the grinding chamber, which may prevent it from closing and locking properly. For the K1 grinder, the maximum grinding capacity is 1g; for the K5 grinder, the maximum grinding capacity is 5g.
We recommend that users keep the grinding capacity below the maximum to ensure a better grinding experience.
2. Check if the Latch is Damaged or Closed Properly
- For the K1 grinder, after loading the herbs and aligning the notch, close the grinding chamber and turn it clockwise. When you hear a "click" sound, it indicates the grinding chamber is properly closed and the latch can be locked. If the latch falls off, it means the latch is damaged.
- For the K5 grinder, after loading the herbs, close the grinding chamber until you hear a "click" sound, indicating the latch is properly closed. If the lower part of the grinding chamber falls off when you pick up the K5, check if there are any herbs obstructing the edge of the chamber, preventing the latch from closing properly. If there are no obstructions, the latch may not close properly due to manufacturing tolerances or Improper use (Place the K5 grinder on a flat surface instead of handheld operation).
3. What's Next
- K1 Grinder Latch Damaged: Please contact our customer service at [email protected], and we will provide a solution for users within the warranty period.
- K5 Grinder Latch Damaged: If the latch cannot close due to manufacturing tolerances, this does not affect normal use. We recommend using the K5 on a flat surface and only lifting it by the lower part of the latch to prevent herbs from spilling. Additionally, please contact our customer service at [email protected], and we will offer partial refunds or product warranty services based on different situations.
👉 Please Note: We recommend placing the K5 grinder on a flat surface when grinding. The unique weight and structure of the K5 can make handheld operation challenging and may compromise grinding effectiveness and lock over time. If the lock is loose or cannot be fastened due to improper use, we will not provide product replacement or other warranty services.
